Description: The Sea Girt 5K Run/Walk will be held Sunday August 1st at 8:30 AM. Kids Races at 10:00 AM Kids Activities: 8:30 - 11:00 AM. There is a $5 discount and race # mailed to you if registered by July 15th! Join us for the 19th annual running of this classic Jersey Shore race through beautiful Sea Girt. Last year over 2000 participated in our great community event to benefit Sea Girt Recreation. The race features live music by the Billy Lawlor Band, professional computer chip timing, original T-Shirts, and an after-party at Fratello's next to the finish line. Kids will enjoy activities such as a huge rock-climbing wall, obstacle course and pony rides. At 10:00 the kids races begin. Distances range from 25 yards for 2-3 year olds to 400 yards for 10-12 year olds. Each child will also get a ribbon, goody bag, ice cream and a T-shirt. ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL BE OVER AT MIDNIGHT ON THURSDAY THE 29th OF JULY. YOU MAY STILL REGISTER SATURDAY AFTERNOON 3 - 7 PM AND SUNDAY MORNING FROM 6 - 8:30 AM BEFORE THE RACE IN THE SEA GIRT PLAZA ACROSS FROM FRATELLO'S RESTAURANT AT TIMES LISTED BELOW!!

T-Shirt pick-up / Registration at the following times at the tent at Sea Girt Plaza across from Fratello's Restaurant in Sea Girt (Start/Finish Area): Saturday - July 31st, 3:00 - 7:00 pm Sunday - August 1st, 6:00 - 8:30 am (Race Start)

Directions: From North: Take Garden State Parkway to exit 98. After the toll plaza stay to the left to take Route 34 South.Travel south through the first traffic circle and stay on Route 34 South. A little ways past the circle look for and take the exit on the right which is marked SEA GIRT MANASQUAN. At the bottom of the ramp make a right turn. This will put you on Atlantic Avenue. Follow Atlantic Avenue to the traffic circle. Take the traffic circle 3/4 the way around and take Route 35 North. Once out of the circle you will approach a traffic light, you will make a right turn at this traffic light onto Sea Girt Avenue. Travel Sea Girt Avenue through two lights. After crossing the railroad tracks Sea Girt Plaza and the Start/Finish Area will be your first left. There is no parking in the Plaza but you may continue straight to park on Washington Blvd. or sidestreets.

From South: Take Garden State Parkway to exit 98. Once off the Parkway stay to the right and take next exit for Route 138 East. Follow Route 138 to Route 35. Take right exit ramp from Route 138 onto Route 35 South which is marked as SEA GIRT. Follow Route 35 South to Sea Girt Avenue which is marked by a Foodtown, Dunkin Doughnuts, and a Buick dealership. You will make a left turn onto Sea Girt Avenue. Then follow the above directions from Sea Girt Avenue to the Start/Finish Area.
